Ms.CAROL ALBERS performed for us our
adoption home study in September 2003. She spent a
weekend at our home in Divonne-les-Bains, France,
talking in-depth to all members of our family collectively
and individually, and inspected our surrounding and
home infrastructure.
We found her to be consummately thorough and professional.
She has a most pleasant way of performing her job
which is both unobtrusive and yet thorough, and makes
the family being visited comfortable in what could
otherwise be a stressful experience. She is skilled
in her cross-cultural approach, and her appreciation
of accompanying differences is reassuring for those
of international backgrounds.
With reference to the homestudy itself, we considered
it to be a fair and insightful reflection of us as
a family, positively presented, and were equally delighted
with its prompt delivery, in light of other time pressures.
Moreover, and perhaps equally as important, Ms. Albers
has been constantly available to us in the months
following as we continue our adoption: she has been
most generous with her time, support and counsel.
